Andrew Meyer's detained for Inciting a Riot?
Submitted by Henry Poole on September 22, 2007 - 3:12am.
According to the Police Report, Andrew Meyer was detained and tased for "inciting a riot". Hmmm, I didn't see video of that. MTV journalist James Montgomery invokes an image of terrorism by stating that Andrew "Hijacked" the microphone in the second paragraph of his story. Looking back in time, journalist Montgomery was johnny on the spot when writing this nice piece (not) on George's Bush's 2004 claim of victory. Interesting framing going on here by an interesting journalist...
"There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part, you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies on the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop! And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all." Mario Savio, 1964

The weirdest thing for me watching this video, is that everyone else in the room just watches. No one does anything about it.
