CivicActions Turns 3 Years Old

Submitted by Henry Poole on July 22, 2007 - 12:49pm.

On July 20th, 2004, while working on several projects with Dan Robinson and Aaron Pava (as independents), CivicActions LLC was formally incorporated. The three of us had decided to join together to provide technology consulting services for progressive organizations using Free and Open Source technologies.

Since that time, we have grown. We now have 9 partners in the firm, and over 27 consultants in 6 time zones. We have remained a virtual organization.

Over these 36 months, I have developed a deep appreciation for all of the committed and brilliant people in our team, and particularly my partners Aaron, Arthur, Dan, Ethan, Fen, George, Gregory and Owen who have stepped up as we have learned (and defined) who we are together. I have also been completely amazed at the growth and commitment of our clients, who are truly making the world a better place each and every day. For my children, and for your children, I only hope that there will be another 1000 organizations just like CivicActions that pop up quickly around the world, committed, as we are, to envisioning and constructing a world without suffering.
