Everything is Miscellaneous

I watched a great Google Tech Talk lecture by David Weinberger on his new book Everything is Miscellaneous.

I especially enjoyed the explanation of how radical the new methods of organizing the worlds informations actually are. Even the idea that something can have multiple categories (as with tagging) goes against centuries of established 'truth' (mostly based on the limitations of phyiscal objects).

He also had a very succinct explanation of why the distinction between data and metadata is essentially false, which leads nicely into faceted search.

I'm going to get this book. A totally fun way to explain what RDF can successfully represent. Fantastic.

With RDF - "everything is miscellaneous"
