CivicActions is seeking a Junior QA team member. QA is an integral part of all of our engagements. The QA team member works with the project team to develop a QA plan that meets the objectives of the client. QA can and will involve everything from checking browser compatibility, testing for accessibility and standards compliance, insuring the implementation of our internal development standards and helping our programmers write quality custom code. The QA candidate should have:
- At least 5 years professional experience in a high-tech environment.
- At least 1 year of formal software QA experience.
- Excellent analytic and communication skills.
- Excellent grasp of web development challenges including cross browser
testing and accessibility issues.
- Experience working with bug tracking and software version control systems.
- Experience with Linux/Unix shells.
- Desire to work with a top notch team of professionals in a fast-paced
environment.
Nice to haves include -
- SVN, trac, GNU/Linux, Apache, MySQL, Drupal experience.
- Consulting experience.
- Black and White box testing experience.
- Automated test frameworks experience.
- Performance testing experience.
