OpenCola's recipe is freely available and modifiable. Anybody can make the drink, and anyone can modify and improve on the recipe as long as they, too, license their recipe under the GNU General Public License.

"In order to solve the climate crisis, we have to reach billions of people," the environmental activist, filmmaker and 2000 Democratic presidential nominee said in a statement. "The climate crisis will only be stopped by an unprecedented and sustained global movement."

Am I dreaming or is Barak Obama's website under a Creative Commons license?! From the footer of http://www.barackobama.com: That's pretty cool. This is the first major political campaign that I know of to use Creative Commons licensing.

Social Networks, in all their forms, are a central organizing paradigm. Our values, education, health, diet, vacation destination, favorite drugs and sex partners are generated and propagated through Social Networks. These networks may not determine our choices, but they certainly influence them; they are inextricably bound to how we make our choices. If the Social Networks we inhabit don't provide or accept our choices, more often then not we'll go and find new ones.

We've risen and breakfasted and are starting the offsite now. I'll probably post later about my epic trip to New Orleans from Oakland yesterday (short version - "Don't Ever Fly American Airlines"). Right out of the gate, Obama's campaign has shown how to master the Web game. Case in point: his newest email about "Iraq War De-escalation Act of 2007" has a link to a Yahoo News story about the same subject. Brilliant! Now you have tens of thousands of curious Obama supports clicking the link making the story one of Yahoo's "Most Popular" news items - bringing it to the top of the news heep for the rest of the masses... THIS is how you own the Web!
